Frequently Asked Questions

Is healing always God’s will?

Though sometimes it’s hard to understand our present circumstances or even some of what we read in Scripture, we do know this. In Exodus 15:26 God revealed himself as, “the Lord our Healer”. God never changes. He always has been and always be, “our Healer”. We should continue to believe God is our healer and seek to know him for who he revealed himself to be.

If healing is God’s will, then why do some not get healed?

The short answer is this: Just because we do not experience healing does not mean it is not God’s will for us. Scripture shows we are to pray for God’s will, pursue it and take hold of it by faith. Never give up and God’s the revealed will of God in his Word.

Matthew 6:9-10
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so on earth.

1 Timothy 6:12
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Hebrews 10:23
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Is going to the Doctor or taking medicine a lack of faith?

The Scripture never says to not seek a doctor’s help nor to take medicine. In fact, Jesus is referred to himself as like a physician. Luke was a doctor. Medicine is referred to as can be good.

Colossians 4:14
Luke the beloved physician greets you, as does Demas.

Mark 2:17 And when Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Proverbs 17:22
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

What you shouldn’t do is seek only a doctor’s help and not God’s.

2 Chronicles 16:12-13
In the thirty-ninth year of his reign Asa was afflicted with a disease in his feet. Though his disease was severe, even in his illness he did not seek help from the Lord, but only from the physicians. Then in the forty-first year of his reign Asa died and rested with his ancestors.

How can we know God’s will for our lives?

We know God’s will through first of all through his Word. Secondly we know his will by the leading of the Holy Spirit.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Romans 8:14
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

How is a person saved?

Salvation has been offered to all through the redemptive work of Christ. It’s through faith that we accept this gift of salvation.

Ephesians 2:8
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Romans 10:9-10
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
